Summary:
The Safety Lane Inspector will inspect all equipment arriving at our terminal location and identify condition of equipment and conduct minor repairs if needed.
The Safety Lane Inspector will also communicate with the driver and the service writer on time frame needed to complete additional repairs.
Duties/
Responsibilities:
Inspects all company equipment and completes equipment inspection forms.
Communicate an estimated time for completion with the driver and dispatch.
Assist techs with any parts or tools required to complete minor repairs.
Preform light mechanical repairs when needed.
Fuel equipment departing from the terminal.
Preform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills / Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent writing and grammar skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work independently.
Proficient with Microsoft office and ability to learn other software.
MUST have the ability to work well with others.
Physical Requirements:
Prolong periods of setting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift to 20 pounds.
