Assistant Store Manager
Description:
Directly supervise and coordinate activities of retail sales workers in an establishment or departmentDuties may include management functions, such as purchasing, budgeting, accounting, and personnel work, in addition to supervisory duties with the direct supervision of the Store ManagerEssential Functions Statement(s)oProvide customer service by greeting and assisting customers, and responding to customer inquiries and complaintsoDirect and supervise employees engaged in sales, inventory-taking, reconciling cash receipts, or in performing services for customersoInventory stock and reorder when inventory drops to a specified leveloInstruct staff on how to handle difficult and complicated sales transactionsoTrain store associates on standard operating proceduresoAssign employees to specific dutiesoEnforce safety, health, and security rulesoExamine merchandise to ensure that it is correctly priced and displayed and that it functions as advertisedoPerform work activities of subordinates, such as cleaning and organizing shelves and displays and selling merchandiseoPlan and prepare work schedules and keep records of employees' work schedules and time cardsoReview inventory and sales records to prepare reports for management and the accounting departmentoPerform market surveys in the absence of manageroAssist the Store Manager as neededThis includes being on calloManage daily store operations in the absence of the Store ManageroPerform other related duties as assigned.Requirements:
Education:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED):
or Work Equivalent
Experience:
6 plus months of experience in a store associate position with the company Computer Skills:
Microsoft Office ProductsDatabase Entry Certifications &Licenses:
May be required to obtain a Servesafe CertificationAdditional Info:
This will be mainly a second shift positionRegular hours are 2pm-11pmWe are seeking someone with proven success in an assistant manager's position.
